EDUCATIONAL MISSION PRIMARY SCHOOL

Hoplà Primary School wants to offer its students and their families a new and revolutionary way of “doing school”. Starting from the idea that learning English is the main objective, the school aims to let every child experience an innovative educational approach.

The whole school offers modular and cozy spaces where there isn’t a single class, but meeting places where children gather to work, study, play, read, create, and also relax.

In the early years, they are not assigned homework and the workload increases gradually, so that the little ones will never feel overloaded, but learn driven by curiosity, enthusiasm and lightness.

 PROGRAM

The same topic is often treated in different ways depending on the inclinations of the children: those with difficulties will have more time to assimilate while the most voracious and the most independent will be provided with more advanced reading books, with extra exercises to work on their own or in small groups.

The notebooks and books are always at school and during after school hours the children are invited to “do anything they like” such as sports, music, cultivate their passions or simply experience the world around them. This teaches children and adults to let go, to trust the school and their own children, without the constant need of a written and tangible feedback.

One of the main concepts of Hopla is Respect for diversity that becomes strength to complement each other. The teaching method adopted ensures that pupils see in the teacher a present guide that helps them find the right path to achieve the desired objectives but also a good educator. The classmates become good allies in the path of training and knowledge.

Class discussions and team work are very popular and allow students to learn from each other. They  also give an opportunity for teachers to assess formatively how well students have assimilated new concepts. Students are provided with the time and space to be aware of their knowledge and their way of thinking to increase their responsibility.
