EDUCATIONAL PROJECT OF THE CHILDHOOD CENTRE

“Hoplà Nursery School” offers a program and activities tailored to involve children in an enriching and stimulating educational path.

Hopla Nursery and Primary School is not only a place for the transmission of knowledge from adult to child but it is above all a place of production of new knowledge where the children are creators of their own knowledge. The educational objectives are to welcome the children, to listen, to protect and to guide them in the engaging path of growth

Through the didactic proposals developed by the teacher, the children are supported in their personal journey of discovery by using motor, manipulative, graphics, language and symbolism activities.

The experience of the child is organized in a constructive manner so that it becomes broader and more detailed.  Individual skills are developed through experiences where the child plays an active role with teacher and peer group in a cheerful and engaging relationship of  “give and take”.

 SCHEDULE

 The program  follows diversified themes which are planned to help the children to observe with greater attention the world surrounding them, taking steps to understand and represent it in a creative and constructive way.

The basic skills of the child are analyzed by the teacher and then stimulated, enhanced and developed in harmony each in the child’s own time,  mainly due to the constant interrelation, so that each individual feels valuable for one another. Feeling at the same time different but special due to their individual and peculiar capacities. Slowly but constantly children grow confident and become able to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and play different roles because they have learned the importance of confrontation and cooperation in order to succeed in the proposed activities and the established amicable relationship.

 The child is constantly trying out the “working together” starting from simple activities that will become increasingly complex and engaging.

“Soft” laboratories of art, music, theatre, movement and creativity are intertwined with more challenging subjects such as logic, geography, science, maths, pre-writing and pre-reading during seated lessons, providing also moments of activity and recreational time using the educational and entertainment facilities of the School.

During the school year Hopla Nursery and Primary School offers children special activities in order to develop specific skills. Stimulating the confrontation with real life and providing useful educational support to the annual program.  Among the many initiatives we offer:

 Typical Day of Childhood Centre

  • From 7.30 am to 8.30 am: Arrival and free play

  • From 8.30 to 10.00 songs, daily observations (who is in? date, weather, etc.); lesson 1 at the table

  • From 10.00 to 10.30 snack time

  • From 10:30 am to 11:45 am lesson 2

  • From 11.45 to 12.45 Lunch

  • From 13.00 to 16.00 afternoon activities

  • From 16.00 to 18.30 free play

  • Swimming lessons once a week from September to May
